Ms. Jeanna's Fight Against Cancer

Hi,

My name Melissa Reed and I am Jeanna's boss at Carlsbad Country Day School where she has worked as a Preschool Teacher for the past six years.

We are very sad to share with you all that Ms. Jeanna has been diagnosed with Metastatic Breast Cancer. This cancer is very aggressive, and she will need to start chemotherapy immediately. For those of you who don't know about the staging of breast cancer, when it is considered metastatic, it has already spread to other parts of the body and is generally considered stage IV. Jeanna is the ultimate optimist, only requesting two weeks off for treatment, but we know that her leave will most likely extend beyond that time frame, creating a financial hardship for her and her family.
