Ms. Warbucks The musical at the ACA June 6-8!

Hi, my name is Caroline Helm Huval. Have you ever been obsessed a character for your whole life and not really known why? Well that is me and Little orphan Annie. Embarrassingly so. People used to say... Do what you love! And inside, I would think, all I love is Annie, what in the heck am I gonna do with that?! I even auditioned in high school. I did not get Annie, but was proud to be Pepper in the production. So... I have now, alongside Dr. Bonny McDonald, co-written a musical where...I finally get to be Annie!

Ms. Warbucks is an original script about Little Orphan Annie(inspired by Harold Gray's cartoon in the twenties) all grown up at 39 in 1961. Still spunky... and still alone, she finds herself visiting her former orphanage director, Ms. Asthma who is now a resident in a nursing home. (They changed her name to Hannigan in the play and movie). In essence, this is the story of their relationship. On this journey, there is singing, dancing, drama, and important questions about aging, loneliness and what is...home?

We greatly appreciate any amount you could offer. We WANT to pay all of the artists/professionals what they deserve. We want to provide the highest quality entertainment that we can here in Lafayette. We want to give you a magical night!

Who will get paid if we reach our goal? Actors, set designers, costume designers, director, dance director, music director, four band members, vocal director, song writers and backstage crew.
