In Loving Memory of SMSgt (Ret) Eric Butt

Please support Eric Butt’s family after his sudden passing due to natural causes on September 16. This GoFundMe was created on behalf of his family by Col (Ret) Scott and Renée Corcoran along with the Mighty Medics of 27 SOMDG who were honored to serve with SMSgt (Ret) Butt while he was their First Sgt. during one of his many impactful Air Force assignments.

Eric served 26 years in the military and was a fired-up leader, arguably one of the best the Air Force ever knew. He was a motivational leader whose kindness and genuine caring left an indelible mark on all who knew him. He elevated everyone around him with positivity and he always made you feel like you were the center of his attention. He could be counted on to give a great big hug and to bring a smile to your face. Eric loved being outdoors - hunting and fishing - but mostly he loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by so many.

The outpouring of support Shannon and the rest of his family has felt is a testament to the selfless man he was, a hero who served our country with unwavering dedication and a man who will be remembered by everyone who was lucky enough to know him. So many people have expressed a desire to help so we’ve created this GoFundMe to provide a tangible way to show our support to Eric and his family and to give back to his family. He deeply loved his wife Shannon, their children, Caitlyn & Johnathan, and their grandchildren, Mason and Gracelynn. The funds will go directly to them to help offset any funeral costs and any other expenses that may come their way during this tragic and difficult time.
