Donations for our Mama Rose

Hi everyone, my name is Jennifer and I’m fundraising for our dear mama Rose who sadly passed away. 

The money made will be donated to the Nimely family for funeral costs and any other costs needed to make sure mama rose gets the send off she deserves. 

Mama Rose had been having constant headaches every other day for 3 weeks. She had been to the gp 3 times and got sent back with strong painkillers. 

This woman is a stage 3 breast cancer survivor. When she went to the gp they should have taken her case more seriously the first time however, I'm not gonna play the blame game. 

It took her feeling really sick at home where I,(Rose’s daughter) had to ask a friend to take her to the hospital as I was away from home. She explained to him that she was okay, just that she felt slightly nauseous but the headaches were still getting out of hand. 

At the hospital they did an MRI scan. It was revealed that the cancer had unfortunately come back. She had a brain tumour. This was truly her worst fear but she stood there, smiled and said she's ready to fight! 

During the scan they explained to her that it was treatable and she praised God. But when they did further scans they found out that the cancer had also travelled to her lungs. They carried on to say it was still treatable as she had never smoked before. 

They scheduled an appointment for radiation At her appointment they told her she wouldn’t need chemotherapy. She was grateful about that because previously, the chemo alone almost killed her. 

When Rose was admitted to the hospital, she was still responsive but appeared to be very confused about her whereabouts and who she was. 

They did another scan and found out that her brain swelled immensely due to the tumour. They induced her into a coma to put her on life support. When they finished attaching her to the machines they removed the sedation and expected her to wake up within 5 minutes but unfortunately, she never did. Due to this, life support was commenced. Days later there was no change, things remained as they were, she was still not breathing on her own.

21/11/22 was the worst day of our lives. A decision was made to let her rest in paradise.

You were the light of our hearts. There’s no such thing as a dull moment when with you.. you always knew how to put a smile on everyone’s faces which I will forever be grateful for. Rest in perfect peace my love.. until we meet again
