Julie's Cancer Battle
Donation protected
We are reaching out with heavy hearts that our loving Sister, Mum, partner & friend to so many, Julie Ridler is about to enter the fight of her life.
Almost 3 weeks ago Julie left work after experiencing significant pain in her abdomen, right hand side & back. Getting straight to the doctor, they proceeded with blood tests, Ultrasounds & CT scans. Thinking she had kidney stones; the next day she received the unthinkable news that they had found innumerable lesions/tumours throughout her liver & adrenal nodule. This is called Hepatic metastasis or Secondary liver cancer. Julie has so far undergone numerous scans & tests revealing more tumours on the right lung. A biopsy was due to be done this Friday to confirm if this is the primary cancer. Unfortunately, Julie has now found herself in hospital with a severe infection which they a treating and is doing well. She will have to beat this infection before further tests and a treatment plan can be put into place.
Julie is the sole caregiver to her Partner Rob who was diagnosed with Parkinsons disease over 20 years ago. Rob is now at stage 5 of this awful disease and treatment is now at the max. Rob has been unable to work for years now, so Julie wasn’t only his prime carer but the sole breadwinner too. Anyone who knows Julie, knows she is a bloody hard worker and has been all her life. Julie now needs to solely concentrate on fighting this without the financial worry. Finances have been very difficult for her even before this news. Work is now not an option. We know Julie is worried about how they are going to live without an Income.
This news has shattered all our hearts but especially her 2 Daughters Georgia & Emily and her 3 beautiful Granddaughters, Ally, Jaci & Leni. Her Granddaughters are the light in her life, and they are the reason she will be doing everything she can to have as much time with them as possible. As a family we are all doing the best we can to help and be there for Julie. She has a big fight ahead of her and we will be with her every step of the way.
No donation is too small, and if you are unable to donate, we ask that you keep Julie in your prayers.
