Help Cover Daveon Gibson's Funeral Expenses

Hi, my name is Chad Curry, and I am setting up this fundraiser to support the family of Daveon Gibson in covering funeral costs. Daveon was a member of this community whose life was cut short too soon by gun violence at the age of 16 on January 31, 2024. Daveon attended Senn High School on Thorndale. Daveon loved music and dancing and aspired to be veterinarian. He was known for his kindness and respectful attitude with all. He was a role model for his two younger brothers, both students at George B. Swift Specialty School on Thorndale. On the day of his death, he helped his brother, Tremaine, get ready for school picture day.

The communities of Edgewater, Andersonville, West Ridge and Rogers Park have been impacted by the loss of Daveon. He was one of our own.

I am setting up this fundraiser with the assistance of teachers at Swift. All funds collected will be for the family as they could use support for funeral and other expenses for services.
