Everyone dreams of going to Italy; letting go of the stresses of the real world and exploring one of the most beautiful and culturally enriching places in the world. I, too, have had that dream for many years. Naturally I was ecstatic when I heard the news that the destination for the Mt. Carmel Band's quadrennial field trip would be Italy. The architecture, food, art, and heritage are all things that many students like me desperately need to be exposed to in the age where classical culture and history are overshadowed by social media and Starbucks.
Some Key Points
1. This trip has been a dream of mine for many years.
2. This is an educational trip; this is a Mt. Carmel organized trip where students travel around Italy to learn about 15th and 16th century art and music.
3. $4000 is a lot of money. However, that money covers everything; Airfare, meals, amd hotel room expenses.
4. This weeklong trip is an experience that will last a lifetime.

I hate asking for money. I think everyone does. However, due to life circumstances and the fact that I'm only a sophmore in high school, it is necessary for me to reach out. I could never afford this amazing experience on my own. That is why I'm so grateful for everything and anything that is donated.
