Mt. Everest Sherpa Fund

My father and hero, Pieter Swart (Senior), died climbing Mt. Everest on May 25th, 2023.

I am running the Vancouver Half Marathon in June this year and would like to dedicate it to the Sherpas who did everything in their power to save his life, and who have saved countless other lives on the mountain before.

All proceeds will go to Imagine Nepal to support the families of 3 courageous Sherpas who lost their lives on the mountain this year: Dawa Tseri Sherpa, Pemba Tenzing Sherpa, and Lakpa Rita Sherpa.
