Molly's Homeward Bound Adventure

The Homeward Bound project is aimed at elevating the role of women in science through enhancing leadership skills, educating about how polar science can tell us how we are influencing our planet and finally designing and executing strategy for future collaborations as we work towards a sustainable future.

As 1 of 78 women chosen to participate I am aiming to raise money to cover the cost of my placement on the ship to Antarctica which includes all course content, training and strategic thinking with some of the worlds most famous female scientists.

In my personal life I aim for a sustainable future and my work as a scientist in aquaculture lets me explore and develop world leading systems that sustainably rear high quality protein sources for the domestic market that do not need to be taken from the ocean. I am passionate about this subject and hope to inspire more people to jump on the sustainable food bandwagon while encouraging women to be at the forfront of such world wide change.
