Kidney Patients

Hi my name is Rachael, I work on ward 27 at the Glenfield Hospital which is part of Leicester’s Kidney Unit.

Just over a year ago we made the big move from the Leicester General Hospital to The Glenfield Hospital which was a big environment change not only for our staff but for a patients some in which are life long.

Since the move we have been told we are not allowed any type of electronic equipment for patients to keep there minds busy during there stay, which has had a mental health effect on some. This can be heart breaking to see.

So that being said I’ve set a go fund me to try and raise some money to buy some radios.

As a ward we all work so hard to deliver the best care for our patients and would love to see them smile.

Anything would be very much appreciated.
