BUILDING OUR FUTURE: ASPIRING FOR MORE IN 2024

  Mt. Calvary AME Church has been in the community for more than 70 years. There has been a significant change in both the church and the community during this time. However, like a perrenial plant that is prunned

year-after-year, and it returns stronger; God continues to prune this ministry, and each year Mt. Calvary returns stronger, and more rooted.  Again, we are pushing the reset button; as we continue to move to change with the times. And now that the transformation is in full progress, and we are posturing to serve a diverse community, we need your help to build that future. With your generous donations, we were able to purchase the initial acquisition. The note on that lot was paid in full at the end of June, 2015. We purchased the property to left in April, 2016. We are working to retire the note for this acquisition; and raise funds to complete improvements to the facility.  We believe that Mt. Calvary is in a great location; and offers a needed ministry presence not only in the southern tip of the Acres Homes community (also known as the "44"), but in the city of Houston.  We now have an opportunity to remain in place, enhance the community, and continue provide strong and needful outreach ministries. Also, we need to make other necessary improvements, such as installing new fencing, updating our sinage, installing new carpet, purchasing new hot/cold a/c systems, etc. We are now seeking individuals and/or organizations who are led to plant a seed into this ministry. Ideally, we as praying that 100 individuals and/or organizations will plant a $1,000 seed in this ministry. But again, whatever you can do to help, we sincerely appreciate your consideration and love.
