Mtn. View Sensory Gardens Eagle Scout Project

Hi, my name is Kenneth McGovern and I'm raising funds for my Eagle Scout Project for Scout Troop 249 in Budd Lake. This project will consist of installing a sensory garden on the campus of Mountain View Elementary School in Flanders. I will be building two raised garden beds using stone blocks as walls (~120 sq ft between both beds) and planting various flowers and shrubs.

The goal of this garden is to provide a calm outside learning environment for the students of the elementary school, along with giving students a place to sit and relax while enjoying nature.

Some plants I'm considering to help build this calm atmosphere are Lavender, Mint, Coneflowers, Lambs Ear, Cinnamon Fern, Thornless Prickly Pear Cactus, Milkweed, Hosta, and Iris, along with others if deemed fit.
