In Memory of Jim Drummond

Sadly on April 23rd 2024 a loving Husband, Father, Grampa and dear friend to many passed away peacefully at Ward 1 in Prince Philip Hospital, Llanelli. Jim’s consultant was Professor Keir Lewis, Respiratory Lead at Hywel Dda University Health Board.

Ward 1 holds a special place in our hearts as a family. Jim's wife Lynne Drummond was also a patient there prior to her passing in 2021 of COVID-19, cared for by the brilliant staff there, also under the care of Professor Lewis.

We cannot begin to explain the care and compassion shown to Jim during his 9 weeks on the ward. We as a family are eternally thankful for the support we received from each and every member of the Ward 1 nursing staff outstandingly led by Sister Alix Maguire. She and her team are an asset to the nursing profession.

In lieu of flowers, any donations to the dedicated staff on Ward 1 would be greatly appreciated by Jim's family.

Jim’s funeral will be held at Llanelli Crematorium on Tuesday May 7th at 2pm, followed by refreshments at the Diplomat Hotel.
