Caden Meyer Memorial

It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of our cherished son and brother Caden Meyer who left us tragically on April 27th, 2024. Born to this world on January 21st, 2005, Caden had a great impact and accomplished much in his short time on this Earth.
Caden is best loved for his empathetic and nurturing nature, his kindness and compassion, and devotion to family. He was a proud 2024 graduate of New London High School and had ambitions to attend culinary school at Fox Valley Tech in the fall. Caden made those in his life feel nurtured and valued with his unconditional love and affinity for reaching out to those who most needed guidance and support. He was a loving and attentive brother to his siblings, including his “wolfpack” of foster and adopted siblings, each of with whom he shared special bonds. Caden extended his wolfpack leader quality to his peers at the Catalyst Program through New London High School and made a strong impact on many friends. To his loving mother Lorie, he was a loyal protector and reflective listener. In the years of love, care, and dedication she provided, Caden blossomed into the amazing young man he was. With his own unique perspective, he expressed strong beliefs and morals with unwavering autonomy and unshakable character. For his nieces and nephews, Caden was an inclusive, nurturing, and generous uncle who went to great efforts to make each one feel special and loved. Caden enjoyed fishing, camping, being outdoors, and had a special place in his heart for dogs. He also loved reading and listening to rap music, especially the classics like Tupac and Biggie, as well as Insane Clown Posse and Popsmoke. Caden’s resilience in life to thrive and flourish despite his obstacles was akin to a poem by Caden’s favorite rapper, Tupac:
“Did you hear about the rose that grew
from a crack in the concrete?
Proving nature's law is wrong it
learned to walk with out having feet.
Funny it seems, but by keeping its dreams,
it learned to breathe fresh air.
Long live the rose that grew from concrete
when no one else ever cared.”
-Tupac Shakur
Caden will be missed by his mother Lorie Knaust; brothers Gabriel Knaust, Cornelius Claxton, Don Norby-White (Crystal), Andy Norby-White (Brianne), Joseph Norby-White (Amanda); sister Merry Walter (Luke); nieces and nephews Carlie, Ileeah, Theodore, Ivan, Rosalea, Adalind, and Elise Norby-White and Lucia Walter; special friend Madalynn Reed; and extended family of origin. He was preceded in death by his stepbrother Scott Masterson and great-grandparents Benjamin and Clara Meyer.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 13th, 2024 at Hatten Park in New London, Wisconsin. More details will follow. In lieu of flowers, consider donating to assist with Caden's end-of-life expenses.
