Much Love for the Reeves Tribe

It wasn’t the start to the New Year that anyone could prepare for. On the morning of January 1, 2017, the Reeves family of Neptune Beach lost their husband, father and glue that held their “Tribe” together. The life of Chris Reeves, 43, was tragically cut short in a devastating car accident on his way to the airport in Costa Rica. He was returning home to his best friend and wife, Jessica of almost 22 years and their four children Caleb, twins Gabriel and Elijah and daughter, Eden. Costa Rica was their second home and Chris’ oceanfront paradise where he and Jessica at one time owned and operated a restaurant and where Chris indulged his passion for Pura Vida, surfing, cooking and the majestic Costa Rican sunsets. This trip was a gift from his wife and despite the devastating loss, Jessica is grateful that he was able to spend his last days on earth doing what he loved. But the hard part is just beginning. The burden of raising four teenage children on her own is a burden no one should bear. In addition to his family, Chris left behind hundreds of friends, all of whom are willing to help with arrangements, meals and comfort at a moment’s notice. But with four teenagers comes a mountain of future expenses. Please consider contributing any denomination to help ease some of the financial burden and offer a peace of mind that the educational needs of the children will be met, even without the leader of the tribe. Chris Reeves was a special man, a friend to everyone he met with a megawatt smile and a kind, gentle soul. He loved his family fiercely and Jessica will always be the love of his life on this earth and beyond.
