Muddy Ruckus - Album Release Fund
Donation protected
Our 4th album is nearly finished and we need your pledge getting it to the mixing and mastering engineer, manufacturer, marketing PR and finally, into your music collection. We'll also be using part of the proceeds to pay off any remaining debt owed for studio time. Any donation helps and $10 or more reserves you a copy of the new album.
Muddy Ruckus began recording their 4th album in the Fall of 2021 at a local studio in Scarborough, Maine. It was clear after laying down a couple songs that we needed more time to write and create the weavings of each song as to utilize our time in the studio. We also wanted to write the music as we recorded. In December of 2021, we resumed writing and recording at our home studio in Kittery. Modeling the process of The Beatles from their "Get Back" documentary, we spent day after day recording and writing from scratch, recording every idea. After 5 months of working in the creative woodshed, we had written and recorded about 30 new songs. We have chosen 12 of these songs, or perhaps they chose themselves, that clearly represent the ebb and flow of our process and represent what we believe is lyrically and musically Muddy Ruckus. We are now ready to sound the alarm and send this album off into the world. We are truly proud of what we ended up with and how we came about it.
We know times are tough and so many of us need help. We've put our lives, hearts and souls behind this work and the notion of not having it heard and shared is not something we want! Any donations will first be put towards the mixing, mastering and physical manufacturing of the CD (and perhaps vinyl if we reach our goal) Any remaining funds will be set aside for the marketing and promotion of the album, getting out to radio, merchandise, etc.
If you'd like a copy of the new album, just make sure to donate $10 or more and then send us a note with your name and mailing address for us to keep on file. When the album is finished, we'll mail it to you. It's that easy!
