Help get Muddy’s back on the road!

Hi,

My name is Rachael, and I’m fundraising on behalf of Lara, the heart and soul behind Muddy Mindfulness—fondly known as Muddy’s—an incredible, family-run outdoor play space in Merstham, Surrey.

Muddy’s isn’t just a play area. It’s a safe, magical space where children can explore, learn, and grow the Forest School way—through nature, creativity, and connection. From water and sand play to mud kitchens, tyre slides, climbing frames, and imaginative play zones, every area of a child’s learning is nurtured here.

But Muddy’s goes beyond play. It’s also a dedicated animal rescue and therapy space, home to rescued horses, goats, sheep, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, and most recently, two three-day-old orphaned lambs. Through animal interaction and therapy, Lara and the team bring joy, healing, and education to children, families, and the wider community. They also run holiday clubs, birthday parties, and sessions for SEN children.

Lara already works full time at a local school, and yet she pours her heart into Muddy’s every spare moment. Her dream is to one day be able to focus on it full-time. But right now, we need your help.

This week, Muddy’s horse box was stolen.

This is devastating—not only because of the cost but because it means rescued animals can’t be safely transported. It puts lives at risk and threatens the future of the rescue mission.

We are urgently trying to raise funds for a new rescue vehicle. Every donation, no matter how small, brings us closer to making sure animals in need can be brought to safety.
