Mudeford CC's goal of 1008.6 miles in March
Donation protected
Gearing up for, hopefully, a great summer of cricket, the guys at Mudeford cricket club headed by 1st team captain Ryan Attree and social secretary Alex James, came up with a quirky idea for pre-season. The idea is, to in March, as a club, run, or walk the equivalent distance from our ground on Ledbury Road, round and past all of the county championship cricket grounds the we didn’t get the opportunity to visit in 2020. A total distance of 1,008.6 miles.
After the recent damage to our pavilion, we saw this as an opportunity to raise funds equally for both the repairs and at the same time, a local charity. Our local charity for this fundraiser is Macmillan Caring locally, Charity number 268218.
The objective of the charity is to help with the relief of people suffering from cancer or a life limiting illness or condition, focusing on the Macmillan Unit at Christchurch Hospital which is a Specialist Palliative Care Unit and Hospice for patients in South East Dorset and South West Hampshire.
Please support us in this challenge, that will aid our pre-season training, mental health and support both our club and chosen charity.
