In memory of Emma McTiernan

November 7th should have been the most wonderful day of Emma & Joe’s life as they welcomed their beautiful son Finn Murphy McTiernan into the world. In the midst of delivering their baby boy, an incredibly rare complication emerged and Emma passed away… leaving him to navigate the joys and challenges of raising their newborn boy as a single father. As he grapples with the immense loss of his wife, he also finds himself facing the daunting task of providing for his son's well-being.

Thankfully Finn is healthy, vibrant, and the sweetest 8 pounds and 13 ounces of beautiful baby you’ll ever meet. But this traumatic experience has left him without a mom. Joe and Finn are home and taking things one day at a time, but have a rough road ahead of them.

As many of you already know, the financial burden of raising a child is significant. And Joe now has an unanticipated responsibility ahead of him in supporting Finn as a single parent. With unseen medical expenses, funeral expenses and now working with a single salary, it will quickly become very difficult financially.

As his eldest daughter, I’ve started this fundraising effort to alleviate the financial strain on Joe and allow him to focus on caring for his son during this difficult time. Your generous contributions will provide him with the resources he needs to cover medical expenses, childcare costs, and other essential needs now and in the future.
