Mukasa Edward Children's Foundation
Donation protected
The building project is being put on hold for now. We are working to finish raising funds for the children's fees
1/19/2021 UPDATE: My name is Petrina Supler and I've taken over the GoFundMe page at Jari Kuipers and Mukasa Edward's request. We recently raised money to purchase sand and cement.
Our next project is for windows and doors. The cost of windows and doors for the orphanage is $2,376. Please help us reach our goal.
Below are some more recent pictures of the children.
UPDATE: The project is progressing nicely, but we still need a lot of funding to make this orphanage a reality! If you haven't already, please consider donating, so more kids can have a safe place to sleep, live and grow up in.
The next collection are recent photos of the project and people involved, and can be seen down here:
A big thanks to anyone involved so far!

For my friend Mukasa Edward I (Jari Kuipers) have started this fundraiser because he is unable to receive the donations from GoFundMe campaigns in his country of Uganda. Below is his plea for support regarding his Christian orphanage. Please consider donating or sharing the campaign on social media. Both are very much appreciated. (German follows the English introduction below. )
Hello fellow friends, runners, christians and students, I greet you in the name of the Lord.
My name is Mukasa Edward, teacher at Namakkwa senior secondary school in Uganda (High school). and at the elite runner of both middle and distance events (races).
The school is in the center of high performance athletes in Mukono district, and its composed of 20 boys and girls.
In 2013 Istarted a program to help needy, orphaned, talented children between the age of 10-18 years through motivating and empowering, both accademic and sports in their village to prepare them to access education.
The program is home and school based under the club called Namakkwa Athletics club that ccurrently supports 52 needy children in Uganda, this touched me as also an orphan young man (Mukasa Edward) to start taking care of these growing number of children to start accessing education since most of them fail to access education due to various problems in their respective homes,
Once again our program educates, accommodates, feeds, clothes, nurses and trains children as athletes so that they can obtain sports school busary and college scholarships to achieve in education through sports to be independent in future.
Currently we have 1 acre of land that was donated to the to the children by community member to construct an orphanage home to cater for the children's accommodation when they are off from the school.
All the funds will be accounted for and go directly for the purpose of constructing 10 big rooms that will accommodate my homeless children in Uganda and according to an Architectural planner quantifying the funds (15000 dollars) will complete the children's home to buy
-Bricks
-Cement
-Iron bars
-Iron sheets
-Roofing timbers
-Doors and windows
- Installation of power and water systems in rooms
-Water tanks to reservoir rainwater to ensure hygiene and health of the children and the land where the orphanage home is going to be constructed when we make our funding goal a reality.
Please lend your support to help the Mukasa Edward's children home.
Thank you and God bless you richly for your faithfulness;
Teacher Mukasa Edward, (UGANDA).
Hello dear friends, runners, Christians and students, I greet you in the name of God. I am Mukasa Edward, a teacher at Namakkwa grammar school in Uganda and at the same time an elite runner over the medium and long distance. The school I teach at is the center of high-performance athletes in the Mukono district and currently consists of 20 boys and girls. In 2013 I started a program to help orphaned and talented children and young people between the ages of 10 and 18. I want to give them motivation and push them to achieve academic and sporting achievements. My goal is to give them access to education in all areas. The program is based on home tuition and school attendance and runs under the club called Namakkwa Athletics Club. 52 children in need are currently being supported. I grew up as an orphan myself and therefore have a special connection to this topic. So I started helping the growing number of orphans whose parents had died for various reasons. I gave the children the chance to get an education, as most orphans have no opportunity to attend educational institutions without support. Be it the high school fees, the need to earn money to survive or the fact that young women in particular marry early in order to be secure. Our program gives them access to education, provides housing, feeds the students, clothes them, cares for and trains the children to become athletes. This enables them to receive a scholarship to study sports and achieve independence through education. We are currently in the happy possession of a 4000 square meter piece of land that was donated to us by the community to make our orphanage a reality. Here we can accommodate and care for the children as soon as they leave school. There is currently no accommodation for the children. In consultation with the schools, they sleep in the school buildings and have their meals sponsored. This is a grand gesture from the headmasters and donors, but it is meant to be a temporary solution. Our children need a home of their own in order to learn, live and train in peace. All donations will be put directly into the construction of the orphanage. 10 large rooms are to be created for the homeless children. According to the architect, the cost of construction is around $ 15,000, which corresponds to about 12,500 euros. The money is used to buy: - Bricks - Cement - Iron bars - Iron sheets - Wood for the roof, doors and windows - Installation of the water system and the electrical system in the rooms - Water tank to collect rainwater, so that a high quality of hygiene and health can be guaranteed - Finally, to order the land I ask you for your support. Any amount, no matter how small, helps make the orphanage come true. I thank you and wish the richest blessings of God. Teacher Mukasa Edward, (UGANDA).
