Over Christmas break, Patrick went to the doctor for a swollen lymph node and suspected ear infection.  After several tests and appointments, a fine needle biopsy revealed Stage IV Metastatic Thyroid Cancer.  Patrick is scheduled to have surgery to completely remove his thyroid and cancerous lymph nodes on Thursday 1/16/2020.  The surgery will be followed by weeks of monitoring to determine the optimal time for radiation treatment.  

This diagnosis came right at the end of the year just as he and Katie had satisfied their healthcare deductible. All care and treatment costs will now have to be paid out of pocket until they meet their 2020 deductible.  This will have a huge financial impact on them. If you are able to contribute to help them manage this financial burden they would be most appreciative.   Please keep Patrick and his family in your prayers as they take the necessary steps to beat cancer!
