Mullinavat House Fire Support Fund

Donation protected
Mullinavat GAA & Camogie Clubs are setting up this fundraiser to support our club colleagues and neighbours who have found themselves in a disastrous situation.
In the early hours of Thursday morning, the 28th of July, Derek and Deirdre Kenneally were woken by their eldest daughter Anna and a friend who was on a sleepover.
The girls were awake chatting when they heard a noise outside, looked out the window and saw the garage was on fire. They quickly woke Derek and Deirdre, who in turn woke the two boys, Eoin and Oisin. The family were taken out of the house and the dog out of the garage to safety.
When they were all outside, while calling the fire brigade, they noticed the roof of the house had caught fire. In a matter of minutes, the whole house was ablaze.
The family are left in a situation, where they are left without a home, and little more than the clothes they had on their backs.
Devastating as the loss is, they have since learned that the house insurance had lapsed and they are now left without recourse.
So, we in Mulinavat GAA and Camogie Clubs, with your help, are hoping to improve their situation.
We know the family have been blown away by the help and support they have received over the past few days from neighbours and friends. These offers of help and support spurred us to set up this page in the hope they can start to rebuild their lives.
Thanks in advance
Mullinavat Gaa & Camogie clubs.
