we are seeking urgent funds to support shanelle from a devastating debilitating condition called a cerebral fluid leak (csf leak) caused by a labour and delivery epidural
on the 9th October 2017 shanelle went in to deliver her first born baby after dealing with infertility for 4 years so as you can imagine she was a very excited but nervous first time mum after hours of labour shanelle opted for a epidural in fear of the pain that was still yet to come
once she delivered her baby boy she developed a debilitating headache, tachycardia, numbness tingling, neck pain, shortness of breath and many more neurological symptoms that are very scary including seizures

what is a csf leak
a csf leak is when the dura that holds brain fluid from you brain and spine has a leak so brain fluid escapes into nearby tissue and your brain sags down putting pressure on your brain stem people are often misdiagnosed as having migraine, pots, fibromyalgia ect
symptoms of csf leak
shanelle was misdiagnosed as having pots for years till she delivered her youngest child 3 months ago and without knowing she had a leak she blindly went on to have 2 other children with her youngest child it caused her leak to tear causing her to become bedridden unable to take care of her 3 children including her newborn baby
with her family having to look after her 3 young children and being unable to work
getting treatment has been impossible
