Howdy folks!
As many of you know, I'm currently sailing around the Caribbean playing 'Harry' in "Mamma Mia". Well, for some reason, the cast have decided it would be a wonderful idea to throw ourselves out of a perfectly good aeroplane in March!
This is somehting that has long been on my bucket list so, I figured now was as good a time as any - so, here we are...
So, "why the fundraising page?", I hear you cry.
Well, as you may or may not know, just over two years ago I lost my beloved Uncle Graeme to cancer. This whole in all of the family's lives can never ever be filled but, since his passing, we have dedicated ourselves to raising money and awareness for specific charites - in particular, St. Columba's Hospice in Edinburgh who looked after my uncle for the last several months if his life and who simply could not have been nicer, warmer and more supportive if they tried. This Hopsice, like many others, relies on the generosity of friends and strangers alike to continue doing the incredible work it does with such grace and heart that no real words on a fundraising page can truly convey.
It would mean the world to my whole family if you could see your way to contributing as much or as little as you can afford to help us give just that little bit extra back to a facility and staff that gave us so much when we needed it most.
The "jump" itself will be taking place in late March (somewhere over Florida), so my aim is to raise as much as possible before that date - although I will likely leave the page open a little while longer just in case.
I will attach a link to St. Columba's webpage at the bottom of this page so you can see just how important and appreciated your donations will be.
My whole family and I thank you more deeply than I can readily express.
Slàinte mhath!
Allan Scott-Douglas.
(ps. Wish me luck!!)
