Hello Friends, Family and good Samaritans
This is Muna’s big Brother writing on her behalf. As you may know, our beautiful Ethiopian Queen Muna was recently in a tragic car accident.
Before we get to the details, I want you to embrace the first thing that happens to you when you think of Muna. If you had a little smile pop up, or a warm feeling in your spirit, then there isn’t much more I need to share with you in this moment. Muna needs your help.
If you are new to the Muna fan-club, I’m happy to tell you that Muna is one of those rare people that God has blessed with a beautiful spirit of contagious peace, otherworldly empathy and heartwarming kindness. She is gorgeous both inside and out and if you have the pleasure to share her space, her energy will bring serenity to your soul.
If you were lucky enough to have the pleasure of hearing her SING, you were moved to either chills, tears or an intense desire to throw a shoe at her!
Muna recently took a weekend trip to celebrate her 24 March Birthday. You might recall that there were a series of violent storms sweeping through the southern U.S. around that same period. Unfortunately, one of those storms enraptured Muna while she was driving back to her home in Atlanta. The strength, violence and sudden onset of the storm created hydro-plane road conditions that Muna was unable to escape.
Muna’s car hydroplaned off the road and over a cliff.
Muna has been hospitalized since the 26th of March in Macon Georgia. Before I update her condition, let me say that we are so VERY VERY thankful to God that Muna survived this accident. We know that so many lose their loved ones to car accidents each year. We are also extremely grateful to a good Samaritan and only witness to this accident, who out of the kindness-of-her heart, went down to check on Muna,
call emergency services for Muna,
talk to and encourage Muna as the “jaws of life” were used to free her from her totaled vehicle and
accompany Muna to the hospital.
Once Muna was stabilized, we got the horrific news that the impact of the vehicle shattered Muna’s spine around the L3, 4 and 5 vertebrae. Muna underwent emergency surgery to reconstruct her lower spine and emerged some 8 hours later to begin her journey to rehabilitation.
Unfortunately, a few days into her rehabilitation, Muna’s wound became severely infected causing her immense pain and sending her back into surgery and hospitalization where she currently remains as medical professionals attempt to excise the infection which has impacted her bloodstream and entire immune system.
Muna remains in good spirits and our Mother (who recently achieved remission from stage-3 Bone Marrow Cancer) is with Muna night and day as they emotionally support one another through this tribulation.
If you have read this far, you are a saint and we thank you so much.
As I dry my eyes, I humbly ask on behalf of my Baby Sister who is known and loved by so many, that you contribute to her recovery with a financial donation.
Medical costs aside, Muna is facing a long road to recovery and lives/works alone in Atlanta.
She was working hard in her passion to be a witness for God by managing the social media presence of community churches. She was also hustling by driving Uber and doing hair as she could.
Muna was a hard worker who was relentless in her pursuit of making a positive impact on people's lives and using her vocal talent to uplift others and glorify God.
Please uplift Muna by donating to alleviate her of financial worry so that she can focus on learning to walk again and with God’s blessing, a bright, healthy and pain-free future.
Thank you for your time and donation. May God Bless and protect you!
