Munda Biddi adventure for "Vivere Per Amare"
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Giovanni and I would like to raise funds on behalf of the Italian non-profit organization 'Vivere per Amare - Gianluca Latini.' This organization holds a special place in my heart, named after my cousin Gianluca, who left us too soon on 29/3/2012 at the age of 39 due to a rare neuroendocrine tumor. Despite his diagnosis at the young age of 16, Gianluca's resilience and passion for life led him to become an accomplished physicist, specializing in Experimental Physics applied to Materials Science and Nanotechnology at international level.
Gianluca's memory lives on as a loving son, brother, cousin, and friend. Even after his passing, his legacy of generosity and love continues to inspire us. I am determined to raise awareness about his rare condition, which he bravely battled for more than 23 years, pioneering his own treatments. 'Vivere per Amare' was established in his honor, with a mission to enhance social services, promote solidarity, and improve healthcare assistance for patients with endocrine and neuroendocrine diseases. Additionally, the organization supports young physicians dedicated to clinical research in this field through scholarships.
In honor of Gianluca's adventurous spirit, I am embarking on a bike journey along the 'Munda Biddi', meaning the 'path through the forest' in the indigenous Noongar language spoken in South West of Western Australia. This 1100 km gravel trail stretches from Perth to Albany in Western Australia. My trek commences on 15/4, aiming to conclude on 25/4. With your generous support, my goal is to raise €5000 to further the noble cause championed by 'Vivere per Amare.'
Together, let's honor Gianluca's memory and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those battling endocrine and neuroendocrine diseases. Your support is greatly appreciated.
I will regularly update my blog giovannifirmani.blogspot.com where you can check the progress of my adventure.
