On January 12, 2018, Ryan was diagnosed with Esophageal cancer, stage 4. His treatment plan entails 6 months of bi-weekly chemo infusions. This is our life until the end of June. He'll turn 40 in July.
Leaving chemo treatments behind will be a great Birthday present, but unfortunately, treatment is only part of the battle. The very diagnosis in and of itself is the result of multiple scans, a couple of biopsies and multiple oncology visits, with more to come as we move forward. Add a port surgery into the mix and well, what was a hill of medical bills begins to look like a mountain and in our case, that literally happened overnight.
How will this fund be used? It'll be used to make sure Ryan has every possible shot at fighting this disease. It'll be used to feed our family and to pay back to the college fund that we had been building for our child.
Cancer never wins and love never loses.
Thank you for supporting our little family!
Much love and gratitude,
April, Ryan & Ethan
