My Son Sircharles Marc Anthony Jones, age 22, was murdered while working as a Security Guard In downtown Portland, Or. Residence Inn By Marriott Portland Downtown/RiverPlace Hotel, Mother's Day weekend, May 6, 2022.

Sircharles was conducting his job duties as usual when he was gunned down in the parking lot of a third party employer, in which he covered a shift for a coworker. His life was taken for granted as he performed his job duties. He was gunned down while protecting others. You may have come across his warm charming smile, and diamond sparkling eyes anywhere within the community. He was friendly, outgoing, always staying busy, working security at multiple sites mainly in the Portland metro area. This case is an ongoing investigation.

This GoFundMe is to raise money, contributed to Sircharles Jones' estate to aide in the help of supporting the ongoing investigation of this case, including but not limited to Private investigators. As well as fund the production of cost and labor for memorbilia in which to spread awareness on violence against Security Guards. The goal is to begin opening up doors for a serious and consistent change to be made within our city, and other cities affected. It unfortunately, sometimes takes a tragedy to make a difference. Portland, and surrounding cities have been hit heavy with crime, murder rate rising. But no one goes to work thinking their life will be ended while on the clock.

Sircharles had dreams of becoming a police officer, in hopes to better the relationship coral between civilians and law enforcement. Which is why he took his job so seriously.

Now I, Jasmine, as his Mother have found strength in Sircharles' existence, purpose within my pain, and a vision. My main objective of course is to get my Son justice, to the full extent of the law. To also make sure security guards are protected and safe while on the job. To bring awareness as to the preventative measures that should be in place, in regards to safety, training, and self defense. Safety should always be a priority and never overlooked.

Sircharles Marc-Anthony Jones, lost his life, ensuring the safety of a public establishment. While he can't be here in the physical, he is here in the spiritual realm. I have promised my Son to continue the excitement, knowledge, and importance of what he enjoyed doing most. Protecting the things and people within the community in which he worked.
