MuseLab- A Collaboration plugin for Musescore

MuseLab is a plugin for MuseScore (sheet music creation software) that allows musicians to collaborate with one another in real-time.

While collaborating with friends on an orchestral score, it was a constant hassle to keep exchanging files, checking whether or not we liked the changes made, then exchanging files again. Plus, we were barely able to make changes at the same time.

From there, the idea for MuseLab was born, a plugin that would not only allow us to exchange files with ease but would also allow us to see changes being made in real-time!

MuseLab is comprised of 2 key parts: A MuseScore plugin, which deals with integration of the notation program, and a web interface, useful for managing projects and

To run MuseLab, download and install the plugin in MuseScore's plugins folder. An internet connection is required.

Both plugin and web service will be provided completely free of charge. However, to make this possible we will need funds to cover hosting costs, domain name registration, and any due maintenance.

MuseLab is actively being worked on by a small team, to provide a smooth experience for all users and expand upon its capabilities.

Due to the nature of MuseScore's plugin API, MuseLab will, at launch, not be compatible with MuseScore 4. We plan on releasing a new edition of MuseLab once the necessary framework is in place, presumably within the current year.
