Ukrainian heritage is under fire during the military invasion of the Russian Federation
Russia began an invasion of Ukraine on 24 February 2022, in a major escalation of the Russo-Ukrainian War that started in 2014. During the fighting, many pieces of Ukrainian cultural heritage were either destroyed, damaged, or put at risk due to the widespread destruction across our country.
We fundraise to provide urgent aid to the museums of Odesa and beyond. During 5 months of the war, we've managed to channel funds for more than 40 institutions, including the following museums:
Odesa Museum of western and eastern art, the Odesa Museum of Fine Arts, Mykolayiv Regional Museum, Odesa Museum of literature, State Gallery of Izmail, Kharkiv scientific library, Khmelnytsky arts Museum, Odesa National Library, Odesa Museum of regional history, Regional history museum of Izmail, Mykolaiv Regional History Museum and many more…
The project is realized in cooperation with the REVA Foundation, a certified charity from the USA.
WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO JOIN OUR EFFORTS TO PROVIDE THE NECESSARY MATERIALS, REINFORCE SECURITY AND SUPPORT PROFESSIONALS OF UKRAINIAN CULTURAL INSTITUTIONS!
The Ukrainian NGO "Museum for change" partners are international foundations: ALIPH, Prince Clause foundation, UNESCO, House of Europe and others.
