Mushadi Amun Ibere Memorial
Mushadi "Mushi" Amun Ibere was born March 14, 1999 and passed away Tuesday night, August 23, 2016 in his sleep at the age of 17. His history of seizures was the cause of his early departure. We are all saddened by his unexpected death, however, he leaves behind a ton of memories that will forever be cherished.
Mushadi was a very loving, caring, smart, and intelligent student that was admired by many. He was an honor student who maintained a 3.95 GPA with all AP classes. He was a member of the ALANHS (Academy Liberal Arts of Newton High School) program, National Honor Society, Student Government, & JROTC(Junior Reserve Officer Training Corp).
He never allowed his health limit his athletic abilities. He was an All Star athlete which included basketball and football. However, his ultimate love and passion was Track and Field. He was a member of the State Champions, Newton High School Rams Track & Field Team, and was recently inducted into the Elite Speed Track Team.
Mushadi had a very powerful name...Mushadi (courage), Amun (protected), Ibere (new beginning). He had the courage, he was protected, and he's ready for his new beginning. This is what gives Mushadi's family peace, comfort, and the strength to carry on his legacy. As friends, schoolmates, teammates, and acquaintances the baton has now been passed on to us to make sure we take care of those Mushadi left behind...his family.
To know Mushadi's mother, YoMarie Febres, is to love her. She is one of the most selfless, loving, caring, & supportive individuals you would ever know. A mother's love for her child can never be defined. Her heart is extremely heavy as she is doing what mother's do best...being strong for everyone else. However, our strength and support for her is necessary.
Funeral expenses, family traveling from Puerto Rico and other states, and grieving time off from work all come with uncomfortable realities. Tokens of your love and support through monetary donations are greatly appreciated in this time of bereavement. No amount is too small...please allow your heart to speak volumes however you choose to bless this family.
