Music Can Change Lives
Donation protected
MusicCan was created by Glenn Marais and Manny DeGrandis to help provide everyone in Canada with the opportunity to acquire an instrument and receive lessons on the instrument of their choice. They have played together for over 20 years and through this enduring partnership, they have witnessed firsthand the power of music.
MusicCan will honor the memory of Glenn's brother Andre Marais' who passed away in October 2020 and who shared his love of music with Glenn and everyone who knew him.
MusicCan has three students currently enrolled in lessons with brand new Yamaha guitars and a fourth has also received a guitar, with plans for lesson enrollment when our fundraiser is complete.
The Djembe drums and percussion are for a community kit that will be stored at Maple Leaf Public School. Glenn has been teaching drumming at Maple Leaf for over three years and this will allow the program to expand and eliminate the cost of rentals for the school.
