Music Production School in Kelowna

Hello! My name is Hayden Cammidge and I am looking to attend college for music production. Tuition is expensive and there will be additional fees. There will also be $3,000 added on top of the $11,000 tuition for text books and other materials(programs, laptop, etc.) I'm applying to Okanagan College in Kelowna to get my audio and music production certificate. I live in central British Columbia, which means I will have to move to the Okanagan. This move to Kelowna will help me a lot with my music and create an opportunity to make new connections with people that have the same interests as I do. This move will also help me follow my dreams and passion, as well as further my career in the music industry.
I am currently working at Kal Tire, as a tire tech, making close to 3000$ a month while also writing, mixing and producing my music. I try to make some extra cash from odd jobs like yard work, creating cover arts and making beats for other artists, as well as ghost writing. I am very creative and talented in many different aspects related to the music industry. I film and edit all my own music videos, record and write all my songs, create 2 dimensional cover arts for my songs, along with the promotion leading up to and after the release. I love music, whether I'm listening to it, talking about it, watching it happen, creating music and the best part...performing music! When I'm on stage, I feel amazing!
I currently live at home with my mom, I help her with things she needs done on the property and pitch in when I can for groceries and other things. She works as a care aid at a home with 2 disabled young men, who enjoy her working there, as do her coworkers. My mom has a good job, that she loves, but also has many, many of her own bills and can't afford to put me through college, as much as she would love to. If you're not interested in supporting me or my future in the music industry, support a single mom who raised two boys to become respectful, loving young men. She works her butt off everyday to make our lives safe and good, keeping food in our stomachs for years, putting a roof over our heads, caring for us for years and she doesn't take a break!
The goal of $30,000 is a lot but I had to set a goal and it is to help cover tuition, fees, items necessary for the course, housing (campus is full) and living expenses for 6 months. I do realize that after all of the school costs that doesn't leave a whole lot for 6 months worth of accommodations, transportation, food, bills, etc. I will be applying for any awards, bursaries and grants possible, in hopes of getting at least a few. My mom and I had discussed me attending Okanagan College on the weekend and came up with a plan to save up for all of these needs and to make it possible to take this course during the first semester of the new year. We called the college this morning to ask questions and get all the information needed to solidify a plan. Unfortunately, we were told that the course is only offered this fall, starting in September, making it seem impossible. The lady we spoke with encouraged us to give it our best shot, so we got right to work! I have applied now and am waiting to get a student number so I can apply for other financial help. In the information we have been reading. it's even possible to have someone/a company sponsor my tuition, although I have no idea how that works.
This short time frame is why I have come to Go Fund Me to ask for your help! Every little bit helps, small amounts add up to bigger amounts, sharing with friends and family or someone that may know another way to help. I am open to all options and advice.
I would like to say thank you in advance for any and all help given!
