Help Lay Musical Mastermind Frank Owens to Rest

Frank Owens was a renowned pianist, composer, arranger, and musical director who died on September 15, 2023. He was our father, grandfather, friend, and now our guardian angel. He lived to be 90 years of age and ironically his death was the result of an automobile crash in Washington DC. Frank made significant contributions to the arts in New York City, from the Apollo Theater, and later the David Letterman show, in the midst of accompanying the stars of the Great White Way.
It will be several months before the estate of Frank Owens will be settled. As the date of his death has approached the 30th-day mark, we have tried diligently to exhaust every option. However, there will be a delay in releasing these funds. We need help from the many who loved him and appreciated his legacy.
With your support, we will be able to cover the expenses of a modest, but suitable and befitting “Life Celebration.” Therefore, we are asking for the public’s help in order to lay him to rest. The arrangements are made, and our goal is to hold the ceremonies before the close of the month of October.
For seven decades, Owens worked tirelessly across the US, and Europe, lavishing headliners, including Johnny Mathis, Connie Francis, Chubby Checker, Johnny Nash, Petula Clark, Melba Moore, Ben Vereen Freda Payne, and Keith David, with his stunning charts. The list of musicians who completed his rhythm sections is a mile long. Owens paved the way for new talent who would continue the course - breaking barriers, once and for all, in sold-out performance venues, with occasional kitchen door entrances; proven only to propel his first love, the music.
We will notify each and every supporter of the official date of the services. We hope you will attend if you are in the greater New York City Metropolitan area. Please enjoy the performance links we have shared with you today.
Thank you, friends of Frank Owens, for being a wonderful and devoted audience.
