Help PS 94 Students Have Musical Theater

The Parent-Teacher-Student-Association (PTSA) at PS 94Q is asking for help to raise money to bring back the Musical Theater Program Residency for April through June 2021 for our students. Due to COVID restrictions, PS 94 had suspended outside vendors coming into the building as well as all educational residencies and after-school programs. We hope to restart our Musical Theater classes again for April 2021 through June 2021.
To provide this program, we need to raise $5,000. We need this money as soon as we can raise it. One way we raise these funds is for families or community members to donate to our Go Fund Me. You can either donate here or send a check to PTSA of PS 94 to 41-77 Little Neck Parkway, Little Neck, NY in an envelope that says Attn: PTSA Musical Theater Fund Drive (Note - your donation to the Go Fund Me is net the 2.9% processing fees charged.) Musical Theater for both In-Person and Remote Students – PS 94 wants to bring back our Musical Theater residencies for Grades K thru 5. The children will learn Musical Theater songs, dance, movement, and acting skills through art-making workshops designed for children. We would have a shortened 5 session workshop for all students in K through 5th grade, in-person and remote. The workshop will be taught by Broadway professional, Mr. Alastair King. For 5 sessions of live instructions and a video provided for the children and classroom teachers to practice as well as final performance, the cost is $4,650.
PTSA of 94 supports our school always looking for ways to inspire and train young minds. Exposure to the arts is vital for children and our PS 94 students have benefitted and enjoyed the Musical Theater Residency in previous years. Our goal is to make sure they can again this year.
