Mustard Seed Community's Jamaica
Donation protected
Hi, My name is Billy McCarthy and i am fundraising money for The Mustard Seed charity that i am volunteering for in Jamaica this year.
Mustard Seed Communities first began in 1978 in Kingston, Jamaica, as a home for a handful of abandoned children with disabilities. Today, they serve over 600 children and adults who belong to the most vulnerable groups in Jamaican society. The residents in their Jamaican homes include children and adults with varying degrees of disabilities, children affected by HIV/AIDS, and teen mothers and their babies. MSC Jamaica also manages a number of community outreach programs designed to combat poverty by providing employment, education and skills training in the communities where we serve. I am volunteering to attend to these people going through hardship and struggle, all the money raised with this fundraiser will directly go to the charity and will not be used for flights or accommodation.
This trip means a lot to me because my whole life I have lived in a first-world country with little poverty, I have grown up in a nice area with no worries about where my next meal will be coming from and it has always been my dream to give my time and experience to the people who need it most, i hope that you can donate whatever you can to this cause to support my passion in helping others.
Many thanks
Billy McCarthy.
