Mutual Aid For Former DistroKid Employees In Need
Donation protected
On October 21, 2024, DistroKid wrongfully terminated 37 employees across multiple departments under the guise of cost-saving measures. These individuals were vital to the Artist Relations department, ensuring that artists worldwide could release their music on time while preserving their artistic integrity. Shockingly, this layoff represents 47% of our union membership.
DistroKid, the largest music distributor in the world, continues to enjoy significant financial success. This decision was not about necessity—it was a choice, and one that left hardworking employees abruptly without support.
Severance negotiations have been slow, and many of our former colleagues are now facing financial hardship, especially as the holiday season approaches. We are reaching out to ask for your support during this critical time. Any contribution, big or small, can make a meaningful difference in helping them cover basic expenses and navigate this challenging period.
Please consider donating today. Together, we can show solidarity and help our colleagues get through this.
