Mutual Aid Fund For Our Friend, Zac!
Donation protected
Hello! Starting a fund for my friend, Zac. Here is his situation in his own words:
Some of you may have met me at UCLA or CSULA’s Palestine solidarity encampments. I have been an outside community member supporting on the front lines and with jail support for arrestees.
About 6 weeks ago I had to leave my job due to lack of hours, where I thought I was transitioning to a new job at Northwestern Mutual until they mysteriously rescinded their offer. I’ve been applying to other jobs in the meanwhile, but haven’t any luck yet. About 8 days ago, my car was towed off the street, just off of UCLA’s campus and is being held at quick silver towing, when I’ve already been broke due to the failed move between jobs and a lack of income.
On Friday, I received a three day notice to pay or quit my lease at my apartment. They changed the locks with my cat, Hendrix, still inside. I was forced to break open the door to get to my cat. This morning I received an email that says they are coming tomorrow to inspect. This company has already been sued by through the fair housing act for discrimination so I’m afraid that they will cut corners to expedite the eviction process.
I have reached out to the LATU, hopefully they will be able to help, but this has been devastating, I’m struggling to get by, and could really use some help in the short term until I can get a job. The landlords are expecting me to pay $2492 in late fees, utilities and rent. This is in addition to the $1000 it’ll cost me to get my car back. Any amount helps, we’re all going through tough times right now, but I don’t know what else to do in this moment. All love, Zac + Hendrix.

Thank you so much for your contribution, you can also make offline donations to @Zac-Kacey on venmo. And as always, spread the word! We take care of each other and we keep us safe , especially in a world where the roofs over our head can be taken away at a moments notice.
