Estamos pidiendo ayuda de aquellos que tienen una pasión por el diseño o quieren ser parte de algo más grande y apoyar a Puerto Rico a nivel internacional. Encontrar fondos en este momento es complicado debido a las repercusiones del huracán María. Sin embargo, queremos demostrar que, incluso en tiempos difíciles, somos más que capaces de gran éxito internacional y representar a Puerto Rico con altos estándares. Agradecemos todo el apoyo!


Sobre nuestra participación en Londres
El estudio de diseño Muuaaa ha sido invitado a representar a Puerto Rico en la segunda edición de la Biennale de Diseño en Londres, que se realizará del 4 al 23 de septiembre. Más de 40 de los mejores diseñadores presentarán su interpretación del tema "Estados emocionales". La misma explora cómo el diseño afecta todos los aspectos de nuestras vidas, la forma en que vivimos y cómo vivimos, e influye en nuestro ser, nuestras emociones y nuestras experiencias.

Puerto Rico es uno de muchos países cuya identidad ha sido cuestionada durante siglos. Nuestro estatus político e inestabilidad económica, sazonados por desastres naturales como María, son fuente de incertidumbre en la identidad cultural y social actual de la Isla. Inspirados en esto, propusimos construir un pabellón donde las personas puedan crear o deconstruir símbolos nacionales que sirvan como nuestra identidad, como Pasaportes, Escudo de Armas, Banderas, y otros, y crear su propia identidad llamada "Soft Identities".

Queremos crear un espacio en el que todos, no solo Puerto Rico, que se ha visto obligado a migrar o experimentar un problema de identidad, puedan construir y diseñar su propia identidad flexible. Para poder lograr esto, necesitamos tu ayuda.

We are asking for help from those who have a passion for design or want to be a part of something greater and support Puerto Rico internationally. Finding funds at this moment is complicated do to the repercutions of Hurricane Maria. We want to demonstrate that even through hard times we are more than capable of International acclaim and representing Puerto Rico at high standards. We greatly appreciate your support!


About our Participation at  London 
Muuaaa Design Studio has been invited to represent Puerto Rico in the second edition of the London Design Biennale, that will take place  from September 4-23. Over 40 of the best designers will present their rendition of the theme "Emotional States".  The same explores how design affects all aspects of our lives, the way we live and how we live, and influences our being, our emotions and our experiences.

Puerto Rico is one of many countries who's identity has been questioned for centuries. Our Political status and economic instability, seasoned by natural disasters such as Maria, are the source of uncertainty in the current cultural and social identity of the Island. Inspired by this, we proposed building a pavilion where people can create or deconstruct national symbols that serve as our identity such as Passports, Coat of Arms, Flags, and others, and make their own identity called "Soft Identities".

We want to create a space where everyone, not just Puerto Rico, that has been forced to migrate or experienced an identity problem, can build and design their own flexible identity. To be able to do this we need your help.
