Hanna's Hope

Hanna's Hope

Hanna's life ended tragically at twenty-three years old, while she lay on the cold holding cell floor (for six days) in the Floyd County Detention Center (Indiana).  After appearing before a judge (for a misdemeanor charge), she was abused, neglected, and in desperate need of medical treatment, which was not afforded to her.  This tragedy could and should have been prevented.

The Eighth Amendment to the United States Constitution is part of the United States Bill of Rights and prohibits cruel and unusual punishment.  Hanna suffered at the hands of the same public officials who are entrusted to enforce and uphold the laws, rules, regulations, and policies.

As you could only imagine, no family is prepared for such tragedy.  The outpouring of family, friends, and community upon hearing the news was evidence of the support and love for Hanna as well as her family left behind.  Over the next few weeks investigations will continue to determine exactly how such a horrific tragedy could happen.  As appropriate, we will keep you posted.

In the meanwhile, and as the expenses are mounting, we ask that you please donate and help Hanna's family.  Money raised will assist with funeral costs, legal expenses, as well as a trust fund for Tessa, (Hanna's 3 1/2 year old daughter).  Funds raised will not only serve to assist the family, but the community as well.

"Hanna's Hope" campaign will also serve as a means to bring the much needed awareness to the very long standing issue of medical neglect for those persons accused of committing a crime and to ensure their rights (guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution) are not violated. The abuse, neglect, and lack of medical treatment must stop!

Special Note:  Hanna's father (Mark Robb) is a veteran of the Air Force.  He has served his country honorably and his daughter is a victim of a corrupted legal system.

Thank you for your donation!

Respectfully,
