MVHS Class of 2002 20th Reunion

Hello MVHS Class of 2002! Our 20th year reunion is happening on June 25, 2022 @7PM until 9PM and will be located in the high school cafeteria.

Because event registration seems to be an issue as many folks cannot commit this early, planning food, entertainment, etc. has been difficult.

My proposal is to instead create a gofundme account and try to raise $4,000 for the event with a planning factor of 200 people attending. ($100-Facility; $2k food & drinks, $500 decorations, $1k entertainment, $400 unplanned/misc. expenses)

The $4k goal is based off a $20 per person at 200 attendees. Any funds left over from the event will be donated to the servers/janitors as a tip.

Crowd funding allows us to have an open event and not worry about tracking who will be there and who will not.

My concern is that many people are not in a great financial place due to the last 2 years of covid. Because of that, some may opt to not attend because of the cost. The crowd funding option will allow for any classmate to attend despite financial situation. And, those unable to physically attend can still contribute for good will.
