Love for Letty

I am Char Hamblin and Letty belongs to my son, Ethan Hamblin. 

On the evening of October 9, 2020, Letty, a happy, healthy, energetic 11-month German Shepherd was hit by a full-sized pickup truck on a quiet, rural road outside of a friends home, while the driver sped away from the scene.  Letty limped up the driveway with extensive injuries to her back legs.  With local vet ER’s at full capacity due to restrictions, Letty was brought home, where bleeding was slowed, wounds tended to and she was kept stable until morning.

Saturday morning, Oct. 10, Letty was admitted, locally, to Cannon Valley Veterinary Clinic in Northfield, MN. Here, wounds were cleaned and she was X-rayed, revealing no broken bones or fractures, though her right hind paw would need surgery/reconstruction. 

Per Dr. DuBay, At Cannon Valley vet clinic, Letty was sent that afternoon to the Veterinary Medical Center at the U of M, for an evaluation to determine next steps, where she remains, at this time until options are presented by docs, for surgery. 

Should donation exceed what is needed for Letty’s medical care, all additional  funds will be donated directly to Prairies Edge Humane Society in Northfield, MN.

Kudos to Dr. DuBay and all of the techs and amazing staff at Cannon Valley Vet Clinic, for making   time to see Letty on an already full Saturday morning schedule.  You’re amazing! Also an enormous kudos to the the folks at the U of M EmergencyVeterinary Clinic; you are all truly something else❤️
