Help for the Simmons family

Hi, my name is Sue Ellen, and I am raising money for my husband, Michael. Michael was walking in the Fairfield Plantation area and was struck by a car on 3/24/2023. He was left on the side of the road for 30 minutes before the police were called. The person who hit him has not come forward or been found. Michael sustained an injury to the head which resulted in a spinal cord injury and is now a quadriplegic. Currently, he is a patient at The Shepherd Center and will require extensive inpatient and outpatient therapy to hopefully regain movement of his arms and legs again. As a result, our family has lost significant income due to lost wages and travel expenses and we will continue to have ongoing extensive medical expenses. Additionally, medical equipment is needed to provide care once Michael returns home, such as a wheelchair ramp and a trailer for wheelchair transport.
