Costumes, Props, Tech, etc for MWCA Parody Musical
Update: Thank you to everyone who donated to our campaign! Through your efforts, we were able to reach our goal of $3500 and cover production costs for our show. From this point forward, all funds given to this campaign will be donated to the Actors Fund in our show's name.
The cast and crew of M.W.C.A. (Musical Without a Cool Acronym), a virtual cartoon parody musical, is raising funds to aid in the cost of our production. Our show was produced from December 2020-August 2021, and finally premiered on YouTube on August 20, 2021, completely for free. Through this musical, we were able to showcase the talent of a 41-person global cast and a cumulative nine months of creative work from our production team.

M.W.C.A. is a free show that has not been paid or monetized in any way. No tickets have been sold, and everyone in the cast and crew has volunteered their time to perform for entertainment purposes only. However, despite being a virtual show, it has several elements that require financial contributions: costume pieces, props, makeup, package shipping, technical setups, Zoom pro accounts, etc. The money from this GoFundMe will go exclusively toward covering these production elements that helped us create a show of the quality you see on YouTube. Any money that exceeds the cost of our resources (roughly our goal of $3500) will be donated to the Actors Fund for struggling performers.
M.W.C.A. has provided an outlet during the global pandemic for cartoon and theatre lovers alike to be creative and seize every day. It is a unique opportunity to bring together people from around the globe - from the United States to Argentina to China to Thailand - to express themselves during a time when live performances are largely infeasible. We are excited to share our musical as our contribution to theatre, creativity, and entertainment during these unprecedented times.
