Hey lovelies,
As some of you may already know, I underwent a cancer-related hysterectomy last year, and unfortunately, I have experienced severe complications since then mainly due to medical neglect (post hysterectomy, Wyckoff all but fully ignored my pleas for help, delaying my care many months which meant repeated ER visits this past summer). These complications (including but not limited to: repeated kidney and bladder infections, hormone issues resulting in early menopause, and neuropathy) require multiple specialists, which as you can imagine, have come with a significant cost. Things are just adding up beyond my wildest expectations, and I find myself in dire straits.
I have an incredible medical team now, and am finally on the slow road to recovery and thriving vs surviving, though it's a lot of hurry up and wait (and pay those bills!) Also, I am thrilled that my medical team finally includes gender affirming care, and following my hysterectomy I was finally able to begin testosterone! However, because of my low estrogen due to hormonal complications, I had to go off of it in only a short time. Being able to see the high level specialists I need (gynecological, endocrinologist) will expediate the process of getting me back on HRT (probably both T and E, just shake me up like a genderqueer cocktail!) and I deeply look forward to living as my most authentic self. Unfortunately right now that authentic self is extremely destitute and tunneling, like nonbinary icon Bugs Bunny, deep deep into debtville.
On top of these medical expenses, my ongoing chronic illness has limited my ability to work during the pandemic(s?), which has made it difficult to make ends meet. In addition to this, I am dealing with degenerative issues with my knee, and will require some form of intervention (aka costing $$$) in the near future.
Despite these challenges, I am grateful to have a supportive network of friends and all you caring strangers! Your generosity has made a world of difference and has allowed me to receive the necessary medical care that I need. It is so heartening to find such kindness in this hell world.
However, the journey towards recovery is ongoing, and I still have a long way to go. I am reaching out today to ask for your continued support as I navigate through this challenging time.
Any contribution, big or small, would be greatly appreciated and would go towards paying for the medical and life expenses that I am facing. I am struggling to find appropriate medical care fully within my meager insurance, and the bills are stacking.
Thank you again for your love and support. It means the world to me.
With extreme gratitude,
Mx
