Let Him Rest

It's time for him to just rest!  In April 2018  Danny was suddenly diagnosed with AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia).  He underwent many aggressive chemotherapies and ultimately a Stem Cell transplant in July.  All was going well on the path to recovery when in Aug 2019 he started having problems with GVHD (Graft vs Host disease) which is where his new immune system is rejecting his body.  For over a year now he has been battling ongoing issues with GVHD and put on high dose Prednisone to try to calm his immune system.  The Prednisone is making him very weak and his bones fragile.  It's highly unusual for anyone to be on such a high dose for this long.   Now, just as he is weening off the Prednisone I (his wife)  was taken to the hospital believed to be having a stroke and while in the ER, he was with me both of us contracted Covid19!! Now he's back in the hospital trying to beat Covid.   Danny works for a great company who have gone above and beyond trying to accommodate his health issues.   Danny's a very proud person and puts 120% into everything. That includes trying to continue to work even through chemo and all his other hospital stays. Through all of it he has tried to maintain his job. Everyday I see him stressing and struggling.  He is on high dose oxygen full time now so we have oxygen tubing all over the house for him to move about.  He is very weak and chronically fatigued. We were trying to get everything set up for him to be able to go on full disability by this time next year but the Covid has damaged his lungs so severely we can no longer wait.  We are just seeking help to get some bills paid so we can afford to do this living on disability alone.  Whatever help you can offer is truly appreciated.
