Margaret’s Fight for Life

Donation protected
As some of you already know, on August 15, 2022, Margaret McKee’s life was turned upside down. She was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Prior to her diagnosis she was having back and abdominal pain that her Doctor believed was muscular. Then on her first week back to school as elementary teacher, she developed terrible pain. Out of concern for her students, she did not want to take time off since she always wanted to be there for her students. However, the pain became unbearable resulting in her going to the ER. The doctors discovered she had a pancreatic mass. She spent the next week undergoing many tests, scans, procedures and a biopsy which confirmed her fear, the mass was indeed cancer, pancreatic adenocarcinoma. Since then, she has undergone so many ups and downs. She has not tolerated the chemotherapy well. She has been in and out of the hospital multiple times enduring many procedures. Her life now is surrounded by numerous medical appointments, chemotherapy, infusions, bloodwork, scans, a complete diet change and many second opinions. She has been to Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa and Mass General in Boston. She and her family have been dealt a very difficult road, but thank the Lord Margaret has the support of her amazing husband Tom, her four children, her parents, and numerous friends. She is a beautiful Christian woman who always gave her all to those around her. She feels very blessed with the outpouring of support from all who know her. We know many of you have been asking how you can help…. We are asking for donations to be put towards any medical bills that are not covered, transportation/airfare/lodging to Boston for follow up appointments/treatments/surgery that will be appreciated and needed in the near future. Margaret will have to be in Boston for radiation and surgery for at least 3 months. Margaret is not able to work while undergoing her treatments and there is uncertainty when she will be able to return back to work. Your support in this difficult time means so much to Margaret and her family. Lastly and most importantly, please keep Margaret in your prayers as our amazing God can work miracles and we are hoping for a miraculous recovery. Thank you in advance for your support.
