My 29 year daughter, Allyssa, with MS

One of the hardest things to do is ask for help. As a parent, it's even harder when you realize you cannot help your children as much as you would like.

With this, I now ask for help with my 29 year old daughter, Allyssa Ramos, and her family, which includes her fiance, Justin and her 5 year old son, Jayce. Jayce, who is currently being evaluated for Autism, is an angel, who stays by his Mom's side and helps her as much as he can.

In August 2018, Allyssa was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. At the time, she was promoted and had just finished training for managerial position at Texas Roadhouse. Many of you may know her from her time there. Yet as her condition worsened, she had to leave Roadhouse due the demands of the job increasing the problems with her MS.

In January 2022, she started a position in customer service with a new company, with hopes that her MS would lessen. Unfortunately, this was not to be and shortly after was unable to work for 2 1/2 months, due to the MS worsening and new lesions being found. She also suffered a miscarriage, from an unexpected pregnancy, during that time, which left her heartbroken.

When she was finally able to return to work, she believed her life had turned the corner and things were looking up. Unfortunately, a new lesion that had developed in her brain, was found, causing her symptoms to worsen. She now suffers from frequent bouts of vertigo and an increase in falling.

With Allyssa being off work for so long, along with no income and an indeterminate date for her to be able to work again, her life and the lives of her family are in turmoil. Her fiance, Justin works, yet his income does not meet the demands of medical expenses and monthly expenses. Her 5 year old son, Jayce, gives her hugs and kisses and does his best to comfort her.

So I come to you for help and ask, if you can find it in your heart to give one dollar, five dollars or even ten dollars, I will be forever grateful and indebted to you. It is often said that "It takes a village to raise a child." Well sometimes "It takes a community to raise a family." And if you are unable to give, then please pray that she finds peace and comfort knowing so many others care.

Thank you and God bless you.
