My Amazing Dad, Dave Quackenbush!

Hello, my name is Sarah Quackenbush! This GoFundMe page is on behalf of my dad, Dave Quackenbush. Those of you who know my dad, know he played contact sports (Football, and Lacrosse) in High School and College. During this time, he suffered many concussions. This has caused him to now suffer from a brain injury known as CTE. This is ultimately a fatal condition, with a life expectancy of 51 years. My dad turns fifty-two this March; Many of you may have known my dad as a player, coach, teacher, school administrator, or a pool designer. Regardless, he has spent much of his life serving others. Now I am asking for your help. CTE has very little if any traditional medical treatments. But there are many experimental treatments out there that we would like to try to make my dad more comfortable and extend his life. We plan to celebrate my dad’s birthday this year with a benefit and this GoFundMe Page. Our goal is to fund our efforts to pursue these treatments not covered by insurance.
