My Aunt's Hope: Leukemia Trial in Houston
Donation protected
I’m reaching out with a heart full of love and hope for my aunt, who is so much more than an aunt, she’s been like a big sister to me. She has always stood by me and my daughters through everything, and now it’s my turn to be there for her.
In 2015, she was diagnosed with leukemia and given just three months to live, but by the grace of God, she defied the odds. In 2019, she faced another battle, breast cancer and once again, she came out victorious. Now, in 2025, her leukemia has returned. Doctors here have told her there’s nothing more they can do but we believe in miracles, and thankfully, she was accepted into a clinical trial in Houston, TX.
We are remaining hopeful and prayerful. Once the leukemia is under control, she’ll undergo a stem cell transplant. This is a long road, and she will need to remain in Houston until September. As a retired VA Hospital employee from Birmingham, AL, she lives on a limited income and the growing costs of hotel stays, meals, and transportation are becoming overwhelming.
If you feel led to support her in any way whether through prayer, sharing her story, or making a donation please know it would mean the world to our family. Every little bit helps lighten the load and brings us closer to healing.
Thank you for taking the time to read and for keeping my aunt in your heart and prayers.
